Alongside weekly jogs, we have planned larger events such as Sloshball, A Haunted Jog, and ‘Tis the Season for a Jog. We have hosted numerous other activities such as Zumba, Yoga, Kickboxing, Bouldering, Hiking, Swimming, etc. - making these events free to the community as much as we can.

I currently manage all things Ventura Joggers Club and run all that’s going on behind-the-scenes. We are currently in a transition period with event leadership where I am finding new ways to empower, encourage, and support other leaders in the community to host their own events, utilizing the platform I have created.

With each event, I aim to be sustainable and environmentally aware so we are leaving nothing behind and not creating more waste. This is something that is very important to me and I’d like to continue to give back to our local lands and raise more awareness on living a sustainable lifestyle.

Right now, I am working on taking Ventura Joggers Club to the next level - applying my skills and expertise in user experience to research users and elevate the website and event sign-up experience.

Ventura Joggers Club

In January of 2019, I founded the Ventura Joggers Club in my town of Ventura, CA. It began simply as a joggers club, meeting twice a month to jog and once a month to hike. It quickly snowballed in to much more of a club for active recreationalists. It has become a haven for new people to our area looking for friends with common interests, a place for people who want to move, to learn how to move, and becoming an integral part of our local community with contributions to local charity and volunteer events.

It is my personal belief that exercise should be easier to begin, easier to break the barrier of just starting to move. We have so many resources at our fingertips and people who are just going out there and doing it. My goal with Ventura Joggers Club is to introduce people to new ways to move that are FUN and are not a chore. It is so crucial to move your body - so why not find a way to make it accessible to anyone and everyone.
